At A&A Scented Nest, we are committed to providing premium wax melts manufactured to the highest standards. To ensure optimal product performance and maintain a safe environment in your home, please read and adhere to the following professional guidelines for our wax products and hardware.

1. Premium Wax Melts & Snap Bars

Optimal Performance & Usage

Dosing: Place 1 to 2 segments of your wax melt into the clean, dry bowl of your melter. Do not overfill the reservoir, as liquid wax may overflow during operation.
Composition: Our products are pre-formulated for immediate use. Never add water, carrier oils, or external fragrances to the wax pool, as this will alter the chemical composition and may pose a safety hazard.
Fragrance Depletion: Unlike traditional candles, the wax mass will not consume or evaporate; only the fragrance compounds dissipate. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. When the scent is exhausted, extinguish or turn off the heat source, allow the wax to solidify, and safely remove it.

Wax Removal & Maintenance

The Controlled Warm Method: Activate the heat source for approximately 60–90 seconds—just long enough to loosen the bottom layer of wax. Gently apply pressure to the edge of the wax disc to slide it out cleanly. Wipe the residual film with a dry paper towel.
The Liquid Absorption Method: While the wax is fully liquefied, carefully place 1 or 2 cosmetic cotton pads into the reservoir. The cotton will absorb the molten wax safely. Dispose of the saturated pads in accordance with local household waste regulations.
Prohibited Methods: Never use sharp instruments, metal utensils, or abrasive scouring pads to scrape wax from the dish. Doing so can cause microscopic fractures in ceramic or glass components, leading to structural failure under heat.

Correct Placement & Application

Intended Environments: These items are engineered exclusively for small, ambient, enclosed spaces such as wardrobes, linen closets, and dressers.
Surface Protection: To prevent the transfer of concentrated fragrance oils onto textiles, polished timber, or painted surfaces, always suspend the tablet freely using the attached ribbon. Do not allow the wax to rest directly on any surface.

Critical Thermal Warning

Automotive Restriction: Do not use wax fresheners inside motor vehicles. Internal vehicle temperatures during sunny or warm periods can rapidly exceed the melting threshold of the wax, resulting in permanent damage to automotive interiors.
Product Circularity: Once the ambient fragrance of the tablet naturally diminishes (typically after 3-6 months), the tablet may be broken into smaller fragments and utilized as a standard wax melt in an approved heating device.

Traditional Tealight Melters

Specification Standards: Utilize only standard, unscented, 4-hour tealight candles.
Prohibited Consumables: Never use 8-hour, "mega," or deeply enclosed tealights. These alternatives generate excessive thermal output that can overheat the wax, cause smoking, or cause the ceramic/glass housing to fracture violently.
Operational Environment: Position the device exclusively on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Keep the unit entirely clear of drafts, open windows, and flammable materials (e.g., curtains, soft furnishings).

Electric & Hotplate Melters

Electrical Compliance: Ensure the power cable and plug are completely free from fraying or structural damage before each activation.
Bulb Replacement: If your device relies on a thermal bulb for heat generation, replace it exclusively with the exact wattage and fitting specified by the hardware manufacturer (typically 25W or 40W halogen). Exceeding the rated wattage introduces a critical fire risk.
Deactivation: Always turn off and physically unplug electric heating units when the room is left unattended or prior to retiring for the evening.

Supervision: All active fragrance equipment—whether utilizing a flame or an electric element—must be monitored. Keep operating devices entirely out of reach of children and domestic animals.
Regulatory Labelling (CLP): In compliance with UK regulations, always refer to the CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) safety label located on the reverse of your product packaging for specific allergen information and precautionary statements.
